The Isles of Kentarun

"You have followed me unto new horizons, through blood and bile of man and beast. It is for this purity of heart and faith that I shall gift you all the words of God; 'Tha shath ash el ther, o ala tha hala. Dala ash el shihath, isha ath ath atheta Pel'sh var.' With this power, we shall allow God into our world, so that his blessings may seed the land anew with glory"

--Potentate Cain Liweian the Vicar, before the Breaching, when Qu'ara went to war upon Erinion with it's army of possessed slaves, in 700 BBE (-700).

It would be wrong to say that humanity had no fruitful civilizations from the fall of Reivanta in 1430 BBE (-1430) until the founding of Golryon in 348 AB. To do so would be to ascribe to the history as written by the apparent victors of the War of Malevolent Motifs. In truth, there were the Dynasties of Kentarun, and their shining capital of Qu'ara at the tip of the Isles.   It would be wrong to say that the Kentarian Dynasties were the sacrificial cultists that they became towards the end of that war, utilizing psychic powers to motivate mindless matter with rage enough to fight their wars, and listening to the whispers of the minds while doing so.   It would certainly be wrong to assume that the scars of this ancient war could be assuaged by a lack of memory. The Second Jeriec Empire launched fierce offensives attempting to finish what Erinion began and claim Kentarun as their own, but even a century of fighting against the mystical powers, artifacts, and titans of these Isles was not enough to pacify the curses still upon the land. The Empire named the Campaigns successful publicly, something the citizens of the Empire readily desired and expected, despite the truth of their failure. Nonetheless, the Emperor realized the dangers of what waits patiently in Qu'ara, and ordered his armies to never again venture inland, and guard the Isles against all those that would seek to do so.

And it would be right to harbor a fear of the beings that live within our dreams and within our minds, aiming to control us.

Annexed by the Second Jeriec Empire during the Kentarun Campaigns of 650-715 AB, publicly, but the majority of the Isles harbored no civilization.
