Katsuro maintains a fit and healthy body, remaining an active practioner of Chowa-ryu jujutsu.

Facial Features

Katsuro is ethnically Japanese and has a typical East Asian phenotypic appearance. This includes epicanthus tarsalis and fairly low profile brow ridge, cheek bones and chin. His facial hair is sparse and slow-growing. To appear older, he often maintains what appears to be a lazy shaving routine but is actually carefully cultivated to keep a 'shadow' of facial hair, which is all he can grow anyway. When he appears as an official NSIS agent, he is clean shaven.
Spending a lot of time outside, Katsuro's fair skin often has a tan. He keeps his hair ear-length, which allows him to wear it messy or neat as his role requires. Although he has no piercings, he has used cartilage clips and magnetic studs for certain roles. He has also frosted the tips of his hair or worn colorful extensions to embrace those roles.

Apparel & Accessories

Katsuro favors comfortable, unrestrictive but kempt attire. Diving deep into undercover roles, however, he tends to simply dress the part all the time rather than switch back and forth. Appearing as a typical NSIS agent is not an exception. Even when not in a suit, he wears a collared button-up and slacks.

Religious Views

Katsuro was raised with Shinto and Buddhist traditions, a blend common to Japanese. While belief was never stressed, Katsuro found comfort in the rituals and shared mythology as a child. As an adult, the guidance of Buddhism is vital to Katsuro's mental health.
Family, society and religion form the brocade of a person, whose self is only one thread. These things are the sources of learning, influences of behavior, the history and the future to which a person belongs. Katsuro suffered disillusionment toward both his family and Saharinese society in the first year of university. That his religious foundation remained solid was vital to his ability to maintain a solid sense of self and piece together a life he could live.

Hobbies & Pets

Always: Reading. Katsuro enjoys adventure, mystery and historical novels but will read almost anything that seems good.

Speech

Katsuro speaks urban Saharinese Japanese. He was raised in a upper class family where artistry of speech was valued and use of slang was discouraged, though he did pick some up from his peers, anyway. Katsuro generally speaks precisely and thoughtfully. He does not use fillers. His tone is typically polite, sometimes overly formal, and soft. He has a calm disposition, not easily ruffled, and therefore does not often display anger, frustration or excitement and rarely if ever raises his voice.

Wealth & Financial state

Katsuro was born into an extremely wealthy family and, as the eldest son, expected to inherit not only wealth but legacy. However, in March of 2012, he declared his intention not to accept either. It is doubtful that he would have actually been disinherited, but in April of 2012, the wealth of the Toda family was redistributed among relatives and business partners with the remainder seized to pay owed taxes and remuneration. Katsuro was able to keep the money that was already in his name, which caused further resentment among his relatives. This money included his education fund and a retirement investment account set up when he first started working (which used contributions from his father, not his own money), and his own bank account.
