  An enigmatic wanderer that has lived through Sagrea's history. Born before history was properly recorded during the Penumbral Cycle, Clover was forced into slavery as a teenager and had to fight her way to freedom. After her attempts resulted in her being imprisoned in a time abyss, she spent years trying to escape and defeat her captor. Clover endured trial after trial, in some cases even jumping or looping through time as a means to get thrown off course. By the time she managed to exact her vengeance and win her freedom, she had physically matured into an adult, but appeared to stop aging at some point during her unfathomably long escape. Concluding that the time abyss she was trapped in removed the concept of time from her, she became the first known ageless human. With everything from her old life either missing, old or dead, Clover was left to wander Sagrea until her life is claimed by someone else. Well, not that she wants that to happen anymore, anyway.   Agelessness is not a boring or tragic outcome for Clover. In a world such as her's, she can never grow bored.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Very strong and flexible. Has very toned muscles.

Body Features

Somewhat swarthy/olive skin tone. Long, almost messy hair. Her bangs cover her blind right eye.

Facial Features

A blind right eye. Her left eye is red.

Special abilities

Aside from being ageless, Clover has made a pact with a war god of blood and fire, giving her access to incredibly strong fire magic, a great amount of strength, and red eyes. She is also very resilient due to a blessing of survival enhancement, which she received after tricking a god of life by requesting for "protection that lasts until I die from old age".

Apparel & Accessories

Typically wears a camisole under a cloak or jacket. She keeps a four-leafed clover hairpin as a keepsake from her parents, and rarely wears it. It broke at some point and is the only thing Clover is willing to use time magic on to fix.

Specialized Equipment

In the past, she primarily used a sword and whatever else she could get her hands on to fight her way out of slavery.   After successfully escaping, she now wields a stolen weapon called the Searing Splitter, a battle axe augmented to boost the efficiency of fire magic. It is able to split into two one-sided axes to suit Clover's wild, berserker style of relentlessly striking a target.

Mental characteristics

Education

Clover appears to have forgotten how much education she had received before getting kidnapped. This does not mean that she is unintelligent, however, as she had all the time in the world to catch up on what's changed since her imprisonment.

Employment

Clover tends to take on quests, requests, and other missions to get money for her local beautification hobbies. When she's low enough on funds, she will be found taking on an odd job for a quick paycheck before leaving. If she particularly hates the place and/or knows that it is being run by something evil or otherwise, Clover will typically wait until she is payed once without doing anything morally awful, then dismantle and destroy every trace of it herself the next day. Not like anybody can do anything to stop an ageless, rampaging berserker anyway.   That being said, she cannot start a career outside of adventuring or doing odd jobs as nobody seems to believe the possibility that a human can live past 200 years, especially with the events she went through. Can't blame the employers though. It's difficult to believe someone that claims to have been born before properly recorded history despite not being an elf or remember her exact birth year.   Outside of Sagrea, however, she is an unofficial member of the Kings in the Mountain. She will occasionally take part in the organization's quests and missions, but prefers staying on Sagrea.

Accomplishments & Achievements

  • Escaped imprisonment from slavery and a time abyss without the aid of divine intervention

Failures & Embarrassments

During her attempts to escape the time abyss, she lost sight in her right eye during a fight that resulted in it failing to become imbued with magic.   Her attempts at local beautification tend to get destroyed in a major conflict, annoying her greatly due to the fact that "cleaning up a mess" usually involves stopping a war from ruining anything else on her own.

Mental Trauma

The countless tribulations Clover has endured to escape have left an impression she will never forget no matter how many years pass. Even when she managed to regain her freedom, nothing from her old life remained, sending her into despair. Thankfully, she eventually overcame this when she decided that living on to start a new life and witness a constantly changing world would be much more exciting than suicide.   Her greatest fears are outliving someone she holds too close to her heart and forgetting important events in her life. To compensate for the latter, Clover keeps a journal where she writes about memories she finds significant enough to remember and will often read them when her recollections grow foggy.

Very clever and possesses enough guile to trick others or get out of the most dangerous of situations without a scratch.

Morality & Philosophy

Clover prefers to look after herself but is more than willing to get herself involved with others to help them. She tries to avoid creating a deep relationship with others unless they are elves, as they have the highest likelihood to live past 1,000 years. Aside from this, fighting has grown to be exciting to Clover, but she prefers a non-lethal challenge more than a duel to the death.   Clover seeks to find something fun, exciting or adventurous every day. In a world such as Sagrea, it's easy for her to find entertainment, and she'll never get tired of it no matter how long she lives.

Taboos

Due to her experiences with the time abyss, anything related to time magic is something she doesn't want to be involved in. It is for this reason that she does not meddle with the affairs and experiments of the Snow Elves unless she is really, really bored or in need of some pocket cash.

Motivation

Clover's motivations tend to change depending on whatever she sees an adventure or activity in. As of recently, she has been spending the past few decades looking for a way to restore sight to her right eye. Not because she wants it to be magical or that she wants to see through it again, no. She just has nothing better to do, so might as well go hunting.

Likes: Axes, chicken, sculpting, gardening, sparring, long walks by the beach, going on dangerous quests   Dislikes: Dwarves, sappy radio dramas (they go on forever and barely advance the plot), chain-related weaponry, flying enemies, having to constantly clean up and break up wars and fights

Virtues & Personality perks

Very headstrong, confident and wise. Is friendly to those she believes to be nice, fun-loving and adventurous. Will go to any length to help those she is loyal to.

Vices & Personality flaws

Somewhat short-tempered and aloof unless given enough time to open up to someone else. Her initial trust issues partially stem from how she was sent into a time abyss by someone she thought she could trust. Occasionally acts conceited and it is very easy to inflate her ego.

Personality Quirks

Tends to brush aside the bangs covering her blind eye when flustered, proud, smug or simply thinking. She used to avoid doing this, but grew out of it when she became less self-conscious about the eye.

Hygiene

Although she adventures and gets herself dirty often as a result, she is surprisingly clean and will not hesitate to wash herself off after a long trip.

Religious Views

Clover does not have a particular religion she puts faith in as she already knows that almost all of them are real in some form. She's seen many things during her imprisonment in time.

Social Aptitude

Very confident with a devil-may-care attitude, but acts mildly aloof to strangers unless she doesn't see them as a threat. Although not particularly cocky, it is very easy to inflate her ego enough to make her so, as she is rather conceited when someone boasts of her skill in something. The only exception to this being her sculpting hobby, the one activity she holds absolute modesty in.

Mannerisms

Acts somewhat aloof to strangers, giving them a polite treatment only out of courtesy. If she spends enough time with the other party, she will become much more personal and friendly with them.

Hobbies & Pets

Clover likes to create sculptures and small gardens as a form of beautifying spots of land with nothing in them. These locales are scattered all over the planet and are usually used as a temporary home for her or a small haven for travelling adventurers in search of shelter. These shelters unfortunately have a tendency to get caught up in the crossfire of massive conflicts or fights, forcing her to go down and clean up everyone's mess. Most of the time, the mess includes the aggressors.

Speech

Clover has a very aggressive speech pattern, not hesitating to express just exactly how she feels when she doesn't like something. It is often said that she has a very faulty filter regarding social situations as she treats everyone mostly the same regardless of power or social standing.   One witness claims that upon being invited to a Lunarian feast hosted by the king himself as thanks for her efforts in aiding them on a mission, the first thing out of her mouth upon trying the chicken was "Holy shit, goddamn, this tastes like you ripped it out of a swine's musty asshole, are you sure you prepared this right?"   Although she quickly apologized, the king still replaced the undercooked avian with a bucket of fried chicken (which was very delicious), resulting in mutual embarrassment.

Relationship Reasoning

Clover is glad to finally have a human friend that doesn't seem to age, much like her. Makarova quickly warmed up to the rowdy ax-swinger after a few drinks and a heated discussion about guns. The two have helped each other as friends ever since, with Clover often looking for possible leads regarding Makarova's past or why her eyes are red.

Wealth & Financial state

Clover's wealth fluctuates constantly, but she always has something to her name. Rumors have spread that she has hidden stores of treasure and money hidden all over Sagrea. Rumors that eventually proved themselves to be true, much to her annoyance when people actually find her hiding spots.   Contrary to popular belief, none of her hidden treasure chests are near her sculptures or homes.
