Brattsholt

The only clan of the Goliath that accepts outsiders, Brattsholt is for many people the only door into Winterhallow. The clan/town lies on 1 of the northern tributaries that feeds the Sagaster River,  and will allow outside traders and travelers (as long as they behave).
Brattsholt has occupied a good market niche for itself, where it trades for Goliath exclusive goods (certain Goliath made weapons, rare animal skins and meat, certain alchemical ingredients) and then trades those goods to outsiders in exchange for either outsider goods (metals they don't possess, healing potions they don't have the materials to make) or gold (to buy other outsider goods).

The Drumswords Clan is ruled by the Clan Father, the eldest man of the clan who is responsible for creating the "laws" (such as they are) for the tribe.

Defences

The town is surrounded by a heavy palisade wall and as Goliath culture demands all Goliaths be capable warriors then any attacker can reasonably expect to have to face all 7000 of the current population.
