Ru Ling

Queen Ling Ru (a.k.a. The Queen of Monsters)

Ru Ling was a powerful wujen, perhaps the most powerful member of the Order of Spiritual Masters. Among its members, she alone had power that rivaled the ruler of Lotus Valley, the Archfey Fairy.
Once the ruler of a city of forest folk and fey creatures hidden in the Mythic Land of Jiao, Ru Ling chose to give up her royal life in pursuit of spiritual cultivation. She abdicated her throne the same year as the Extinghuishment of the Stars, though many still call her Queen Ru Ling.

It was Ling's idea to leave the Material Plane when the Stars of Power were extinguished, predicting that the Order of Spiritual Masters would be able to continue their spiritual cultivation in the Moonwilde while they waited for magic to return.
In the year 922 of the Celestial Calendar, Queen Ru Ling surprised the world when she appeared at the World Martial Arts Tournament.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Ru Ling was consider by many denizens of the Moonwilde to be the premier pupil of Fairy. Her mastery of enchantment allowed her to tame nearly any monster.

The Queen was also known as a rival to the All-Knowing Immortal Sage, Shen Feng Wa. In combat she called him vexatious and, "hardly worth the trouble."

Failures & Embarrassments

Queen Ru Ling taking the Order of Spiritual Masters to the Moonwilde was a tactical risk that was often criticized. Some thought she made the move out of ambition or fear, and others said that she hid away knowledge of monsters that could have saved millions of lives over the last 1500 years. Her true motivations are unknown.

Intellectual Characteristics

The master monster tamer of the Order of Spiritual Masters, Ru Ling prefers to act with wit and cunning. Rarely does she head strait into battle half cocked. She prefers to send illusory copies to investigate and learn about the monsters she is to face, and she will often theorize and plan out loud, a habit from spending more than a millennium as a teacher of her arts.

Her plans often include charming others to do what she pleases
