Until Adirah was consumed by the Caliphate of Al-Zaluma, it was a small farming kingdom. Now, Adirah feeds the entire Caliphate, or so the sayings go. Food and other goods travel down-river to Qadai before sailing on to Al-Zaluma or abroad.
