Henry Etta's (West)

In a place that used to be known for many amazing things, it's quite a surprise how little remained in the rush of things. Once bustling and exciting, there's now rubble, ruin, and small bouts of chaos. Fun thrills and decadent nourishment are now things that only a high and mighty few can experience. Some places are abandoned with the ghosts of past seeming to roam in the silence and stillness of Henry Etta's West.   Those who survive here are ones who want to get away from the craziness of the animal gods, gangs, and brutality that's found north of here. Still, all is not quiet on the western front. There's plenty of fighting, brutality, and absolute chaos that goes on. People are loyal and willing to be peaceful in a world of raging conflict, but are not hesitant to take to their weapons and blow the shit out of a group.

Demographics

The human population is what mostly makes up the roving population in Henry Etta's West. There are a distinctive kind of mark that most Westies are known for; a strike on their left lip that resembles a Tiger stripe. It is the unfortunate defining birthmark that all are given upon birth that let's those know who are their kin and who are strangers or invaders from other districts.   Due to the scorching of many native lands for animals, there are lots of "normal" farm animals that don't look quite so normal. Some have kept most of their basic form and function, while the more ferocious and fearsome of creatures have evolved and changed to surround their new landscape of rushed down brush and rubblized roads.

Government

The only kind of government left in Etta's West is found within the small factions that are based around the resources of the area. Some control food, some tech, and some water. Each works together for now, but there's no saying how long this peace will last in the long run.   IQ HQ is the hub of it all and is where most of the important things take place as far as any formal system of structure. But little know what goes on behind these walls.

Defences

There surroundings of Etta's West is one big barrier of in-and-out militarization, primarily to the north. The main reason for this is to keep anyone from enemy districts (i.e. Wedgeward) from getting in and starting conflict. The cold war going on with them is held off thanks to the No Man's Land found between the two districts that's separated by an old highway. Those traveling through be wary. There are some itchy trigger fingers.

Industry & Trade

There is a large trade route that is mutual with Henry Etta's East. Both have resources that the other needs to survive and this is one of the few strings still in place that keeps each other from tearing one another to pieces.

Infrastructure

There's not a lot here, at least on the outside. Since Henry Etta's West is so far out from any other district, they have become their own little haven of sorts, though it is far from a place to settle down. Get away from where most of the trade routes and still-standing structures, and you're in for a hell of a nightmare from local mutated fauna. There is a small trade system in hunting those creatures, though, so you never know what you could find.

Assets

History

There's plenty of ruins that show the rich and valuable history that this place once had. Inventors, innovators, creators. They all accumulated here before the bombs fell. Now? Not much is left in its place.   It was hard to scavenge the remains of this place. Since it was so out of the way of most of the Roc, there wasn't too much damage done, but any farmland was scorched, rivers began to dry, and the world became so incredibly hostile. Those who survived, though, wanted to persevere it all. People began to restore what is now known as IQ HQ and expanded from there.   Now, there are hubs for trade, though a rival feud with Wedgeward has transcended the time of apocalyptic occurrences. It is a feud that was told from the time before the fall of civilization and one that those who live in the West intend on continuing.

Geography

The West is predominantly scorched land and lots of (sometimes literal) burned bridges. While the mostly scorched earth and destroyed buildings give it a landscape similar to that outside the Roc, there's still plenty of stronghold-type buildings filled with various kinds of supplies and vehicles that are guarded by any gangs or prominent people in the area that have control of them.   Big locations that most in The West know about are the Benz where a lot of vehicles are scrapped or scavenged from. It's also here where many get their rides tricked out for a cost.

Natural Resources

Many resources are found with food and edibles. Once upon a time, this place used to hold tens of hundreds of places that would cook fresh food that tasted like heaven. Many of these places have been looted by those who have claimed control of this aspect of trade with some of the other districts.   Another prominent resource is vehicles. There are many old places with cars that have began to rust and wear away, but still can be build and soldered together as well as sold for parts to those who need them for repairs or tricking out a ride.
