C-Breeze

Whatever it is, it started at C-Breeze. An army of possessed post-apocalyptic punks not quite dead yet not quite alive, not quite asleep yet not quite awake - whatever it is, whoever they are, however it happened, it happened here.

Irene now haunts hundreds, but she began her work at the abandoned carnival. And she started with the fucking clowns. In the early days, you saw them swarming in packs, faces shaved and painted with chalky shades of white, red, purple, black. A group of ten or more would enter a faction back in the day and kill or possess every last person in sight.

After the district's meager attempts at society after the apocalypse had been destroyed, the mob of psychopaths returned to their place of origin, C-Breeze. The place serves as the base of her operations to hold the lock which separates other districts from clean water and starves them of a chance for a better life. Something noticed by the few remaining survivors was that after the initial retreat to the park, clown sightings had fallen to zero. It is currently unknown if they simply vanished or if they are hidden somewhere within the park limits, biding their time until Irene calls on them again. One thing is known for sure – any idiot that manages to get within eyesight of the amusement-park-turned-military-base will begin to hear the faint sound of carnival music playing and shrieks of laughter off in the distance.

Demographics

Man, woman, child - all people possessed by Irene begin to slowly lose most of their physical features. Skin of all colors slowly fades to a grayish-blue husk of what it once was. Those who don’t loose their hair are left with wiry black strands of oily mess that resemble fishing wire more than organic material. Any and all distinct characteristics inevitably fade away as victims become one among hundreds in Irene’s army.

Government

Irene is all that exists here. The shambling mess of her army is at her every beck and call.

Defences

An army of 200-some possessed souls without the need for food or sleep. Who could possibly defeat them? While most of Irene’s army isn’t as durable as her initial pack of clown guards, they still require several strong hits to go down, and will keep fighting until put out of their misery.

Industry & Trade

Unless you're in the industry of getting your ass kicked by an angry spirit and her army, there is nothing here for you.

Infrastructure

Certain parts of the park have been rebuilt on Irene’s command to house supplies – guns, tools, and rations. Though her army does not need food, she delights in depriving others of their fair share and often raids camps simply for the satisfaction to destroy their resources and starve them of nutrients.

Guilds and Factions

Irene's First Possessions

It would be unfair to call the pack of possessed fools ‘people’. Whatever and whoever they were before Irene was irrelevant compared to the pack of cannibalistic, unkillable freaks she had created. Raid survivors would swear up and down that some of the lifeforms involved in these attacks weren’t possessed – that their eyes lacked the bright blue glow of one who had succumbed to Irene’s insanity. Others sniped back that the distinction between a clown who hunts innocents for sport versus those who have no choice in the matter isn’t an important one to be made. And besides – what kind of human could do the things they did? When they overtook factions, it wasn’t due to a lack of effort on the invadee’s part. How do you kill things which can loose one, two, three limbs and keep clawing and gnashing and fighting before you can sink something – anything – into their skull. What’s worse, pack members that survived the fight would appear partially healed before the next one, as evidenced by large dark stitches which ran along the seams of their old wounds.

History

What was once a place of joy and excitement is now filled with Irene's army. C-Breeze used to be home to one of the many factions in the district in the early days of the apocalypse. The place that was initially referred to as the most promising hope for a new civilization after the end-of-days became the cesspool home to an army of hundreds.
