Surcounty of Kilncross
The Surcounty of Kilncross lies at the eastern edge of the Grand Duchy of Canyndor, bordered by the Kala and Bryn river to the west, the Yarrow river to the south, the Tora River to the north and the Surounties of Ingus and Pilkala to the east. The province is largely split by the Pola river, which runs through the capital of Kilncross before becoming a tributary to the Tora river. The lands to the west of the Pola river are largely marshland that is sparsely populated by rural communities, the greatest exception being the ancient Bolomaic capital of Malkara. The lands on the eastern bank are more fertile and suitable for farming and grazing, though can be dangerous due to the muddy banks that are liable to drag unsuspecting cattle into its grips. Kilncross is the epicentre of wealth in the region as the settlement has a river port and is a prime location for trade due to its convenient road and water connections.
