Katturi of the Banners

The Katturi of the Banners is the title held by the person responsible within the noble household of maintaining and nurturing the feudal relationships between their liege and the vassals thereof, but perhaps more importantly, during times of war, to relay the call to arms of their liege to their vassals and vice versa if appropriate. The title is endemic to the Grand Duchy of Canyndor (though similar titles are observed in the Duchy of the Dales), where it is a highly prestigious position within the royal household, to a significantly lesser degree in more minor households. The positon is one that requires a deft mind for negotiation and flattery, leading to the position often being held by particularly well-liked individuals.
