Rivalis

A halfling town inside the Forest of Secrets and on the shores of Lake Placid, Rivalis is best known its Crystal Garden and the tragic Van Ritchen family. As the last stopping point on the road heading west, it also has a not insignificant number of visitors traveling through. The people of Rivalis have long been loyal citizens of Darkon and so are quick to report any disturbers of the peace to the local Kargat division. The town is roughly split into three areas: the residential district where people live and relax, the perfume manufactory and storage (kept a distance away from anything flammable), and the surrounding woods and wilderness.

About 99% halfling with the rest tending to be human.

Government

Arian Windfoot is the mayor of the town and makes most of the decisions regarding the town, with a little input from it's residents.

Infrastructure

A large amount of effort goes into the town's flower industry, from the shipping of flowers elsewhere to the storing and sorting of the seeds.

Architecture

All of the buildings in town, excepting Richten Haus, are underground inside of hills that dot the landscape. Doors and windows can be seen on the sides of the hills and chimneys pop out of the tops.
