Personal history
Dalia is not from Shehrabad. She and her mother migrated to the island when Dalia was 12. Dalia's mother died and Dalia thought her life might be over when Queen Kesari made Dalia her youngest handmaiden. The queen loved Dalia's personality, her sense of humor, and her looks. The latter made Dalia uncomfortable, but she was indebted to Queen Kesari and respected her. Lady Tarannum was jealous of Dalia and ridiculed her often in Bahavi. She and Dalia are from the same country. Once Princess Sharma overheard the bullying and she came to the defense of Dalia. After sending Lady Tarannum away, Sharma turned very pale and smiled at Dalia. That is when Dalia fell in love.
Years later when Queen Kesari fell ill with Winter's Kiss, Dalia was tasked to care for the queen. She saw a lot of Sharma then. Dalia often comforted Sharma and gave her sound advice. Then Daila fell ill. Sharma who had been in love with Dalia for years made a last ditch effort and prayed to Durga for help. Dalia recovered from Winter's Kiss, but Queen Kesari did not.
Dalia was not surprised when Sharma told her that she was giving up the crown to Queen Fulmati, but she was surprised when Sharma proposed. Now they are married and run the Etimerasa Learning Center together in the Shehrabad Lower Ring.
