Arika Trueheart

Arika Trueheart is the 3rd daughter of Lady Isa and Teryn Trueheart. She has two older sisters Eriya and Rina.
Arika is the least known of the Trueheart sisters and is often mistaken for her older sister Eriya. She is the Captain of Jain's Guard, the personal guard of the Light's Chosen, the title is however often seen more of a honorary one than proof of ones capabilities.

Appearance and Character

Like her mother and oldest sister, Arika has the Trueheart traits of blue-green eyes and wavy gold-blonde hair. Her hair is hip length and she often let it loose except when training or fighting, then she wears it in a braid. She has a slim body and is of average height. Her face is unremarkable with soft features.
Arika often wears her fancy gold and white armor with blue cloth, embroiled with the Trueheart crest on the chest. Otherwise she usually wears a variety of simple to more fancy cloths and dresses.
Were Eriya and Rina are very much opposites of each other Arika falls somewhere between the two. Arika was a energetic and happy kid but became more reclusive and quiet with the years. She also became more uncertain and unsure of herself and her abilities as she struggle to keep up with her sisters. Arika feels very much like she lives in the shadow of her older sisters and that she's not good enough for the legacy of the Trueheart family. This lead to her having more of a estranged relationship with her sisters, mostly out of her own volition. Despite not being as recognized as well as overshadowed by her sisters, Arika is however a good fighter and a competent commander and leader, she is only held back by her own indecisiveness.

History

Early Life

Arika Trueheart was born as the third daughter in the spring of 10,263 in Sollg'anor into the distinguished Trueheart family. She was a moderately blessed child, compared to her sister who where both significantly blessed. Arika was a energetic and playful kid and befriended Renri Sunvale and Vinri Tyree when very young, despite them choosing different paths later in life they remain good friends. She also became a very close friend with Dess, a son of a blacksmith, during her time in the Order.
Arika struggled with her years in the Order, especially towards the latter years. She did not do bad and often easily preformed above the average but lagged behind her sisters who excelled in many areas and who were sometimes described as prodigies. Arika felt she didn't live up to the expectations of the people around her and to the Trueheart name. This lead to Arika becoming more reclusive and uncertain of herself.

The Chosen War & Jain Brightarc

Arika participated in the 1st Siege of Night's End. She hoped to distinguished herself in the battle like her sisters, but ended up not achieve anything noteworthy to make her standout in her first battle. To add to this with the death of High Priestess Erenia Braveheart and the succession of her sister Rina to High Priestess, as well as Eriya keeping on carving out a name for herself as a great warrior and commander. This put even more spotlight and fame on her sisters, making Arika fee ever more left in their shadows. During her time in the army she became friends with Aldor Holt.
Arika meet and was befriended by Jain Brightarc. Jain later asked Arika to be join her personal guard, Jain's Guard, she accepted, and was named it's Captain. Arika was one of the latter members to join the guard. She meet and befriended the other members and grew particular close to the Patriarch's daughter Naoria Dawn and Jain herself.
Arika and Jain's Guard took part in the 2nd Siege of Night's End but did not engage in the combat during the short battle.

Currant Events

In the Battle of Nendro Valley Arika, against her wishes, is given command of a cavalry retinue by Patriarch Eryk Dawn. Once the battle has started she along Aldor Holt and a few other Cavalry Captains are to lead the cavalry around the enemies flank, using the forest as cover, to hit the Nhalrai host in the rear to break their formation and moral.
