Rai

The Rai, sometimes called the Blessed People, is a people much like humans though often seen as superior to them because of them being Blessed. They have a lifespan ten times that of humans and rarely suffer from diseases, they are also overall stronger than the average human. Humans often described them to be handsome and beautiful in general. It is also claimed by themselves that they are devoid of the ugliness of humans. Such things as greed, lust, gluttony and other sins does not exists within the Rai.
When every rai is born they are blessed. This is want makes them different from normal humans. Every rai is blessed by the Light, in Sollrai culture it is by the sun's light and in Nhalrai culture it is by the moon's light. One may be blessed to different degrees, the more you're blessed the stronger you connection is to the Light. This connection can also become stronger through training. Those who have a strong connection are often recommended become to priests and healers. Being very blessed is also often hereditary though this is not always the case.
These blessings grants the powers to heal wounds, increase stamina and strength amongst other things. Everyone who is blessed have this power to a small degree but those who are more blessed and have a strong connection to it often train to control it fully.
