After the Ruin: -Work in progress-

A fun little world that evolved from a Warcraft 3 Custom Map idea and grew into something much bigger. Decided to move over here to World Anvil as keeping track on things in my folders and documents started becoming tiresome. Based in a classic antiquity/medieval, low fantasy world. Feel free to ask me anything, critique, follow or something idk.
 

Premise

The world is mostly based around the primary story which is the conflict between two powerful nations: the Realm of Soll and the Realm of Nhal. These Realms are inhabited by the Rai, a long lived race of humanoids with magical capabilities (basically Elves).
 

Setting

The story is set 10 000 years after the apocalyptic event that would be known as the Ruin, which wiped out the Realm of Ald, the First Realm. The Aldrai had vast colonial territories that were suddenly on their own. These territories united into different new Realms, with the two most dominant being Soll and Nhal. A rivalry and hatred would grow between Soll and Nhal that would involve several millennia of war and suffering but ultimately ever remain in a stalemate, neither getting the upper hand for a longer period.

In the 105th century After the Ruin the lands of the two Rai Realms Soll and Nhal are once again besieged in bloody conflict. To the west the Human Kingdoms are stricken by plague, famine and war. Yet shadows gather in the deepest and darkest valleys of Nhal, as well as across the Southern Sea on the cold and ancient continent of Aldrona, amongst the ruins of an ancient empire.   None of them are prepared for what is to come, a storm that will shake the very foundations of the world...
