Cascade River Basin

The Cascade River Basin is a collection of waterways that forms a watershed in the Jungle of Quai Thu and ends into the Aegir Sea. The main artery is comprised of the Upper and Lower Cascade River as well as the Waukeen River. Branching off this main way, there are many explored and unexplored waterways, includes the Storm River, the Cong Song River, and the Gif Barrier River. Further still, there are lakes and ponds dotted throughout the water basin.

Geography

Rivers form excellent barriers for marking territory. Because they are easy to define, most sentient species respect the lines they create and lands are divided by river-ways. The Lizardfolk sit nestled between Con Song River and the Storm River, while the Tabaxi keep their dominion between the Storm River and the Upper and Lower Cascade River.

River Etymology

All the rivers' names have been translated from the local dialects into the old world "common" or have been renamed outright. The Upper and Lower Cascade was easily translated as well as the Storm River from the Tabaxi dialect. Originally, the Waukeen river and the Con Song River were one and the same, but when the settlers of Fallmouth arrived it was renamed for the god of trade. The Con Song River is an imperfect translation of Lizardfolk. "Con Song" is the Lizardfolk word for river, so in reality, the Con Song River is the "River" River.
