Naming Traditions
A Tabaxi's name is a single sentence describing their greatest feat or their most recognizable feature. A full name is usually only spoken when introductions are given or in a formal affair. From then on, the most notable or remarkable word from the sentence is used as a nick name to save time. For example, "Scout Who Took a Long Shot From Across the River and Still Hit His Target" would be referred to as "Long Shot".
To add confusion, names change often as Tabaxi have a love for story telling and are an adventurous people. Sometimes the name change could be as minor as a chief changing the location of their tribe or could be as drastic as a simple villager that answered the call to adventure.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Tabaxi do not have their own unique language, but speak Common. It is interesting to note, that the "Common" of Quai Thu has its roots in the Tabaxi language. It was always advantageous to be able speak with a wandering Tabaxi since they are natural explorers. Because of this, their language has seeped into the other cultures on the continent forming the common tongue.
