A Heavy Purse Lost

Many a traveller to the streets have lost their coin in the gambling dens of Wavern's Den, and many more have lost their coin to the cutpurses that run amok through the whole city. Whether they be urchins or adults, there are always those looking to take a strangers coin from them, should they look like an opportune target.
While it is more than easy to lose your coin, winning it back can also be just as quick should you happen to challenge your thief to one of the few activities honoured by all, a game of luck and skill. Those with a quick eye or a quicker hand can find themselves winning more than they lost or simply regaining it by thieving the thief.

Recompense for the Lost

Though Wavern's Den has a reputation for being a literal den of cheaters, liars, gamblers, and thieves, it is also one of the safest places to be should you get lost. Everyone there might be looking to get your coin off you, but they wouldn't jeopardize themselves or a potential target by making them suffer through indignity. Because of this, fights are rare, and should one break out, passersby will aid in restraining the offending parties to ensure they can calm down enough to not attempt to continue the fight.
Should you find yourself lost in the Wavern's Den, simply approach one of the gambling experts on the streets or in an establishment, and explain what has happened to the best of your ability, and they will make sure you get where you're going with naught taken from you on the way there. Once you get to where you're going, they will simply bid you a good day, or should you look particularly put down upon, offer a coin or two to buy yourself a drink.
There is much to be said about the strangers you will find in the ramshackle stacks called buildings in the Den, however, while there may not be honor among thieves, among the gamblers of the Den there is dignity to be found.
