Persa

"Known for the persacoal from its surrounding area, Persa is a town of few amenities and a lot of strong people."
— Excerpt from Rural & Restful Retreats

The People

While it's a small town, the people of Persa are all involved in some form or another in their main export of Persacoal, leading to them having a very active lifestyle.   Due to the strength of the town members, their buildings are built incredibly toughly, in some cases made of double thick logs. Because of the amount of wood that they're forced to use for their town, they make sure to revitalize the areas they use for logging as much as possible, including rotating their logging areas to ensure that they don't overuse the same area.   Persa isn't well visited by tourists, but those who do find themselves welcomed into a very pleasant town, partially stained blue because of the coal they mine, though they do enjoy their work and at times find themselves throwing the persacoal dust at each other.

The Place

Persa is generally quite quiet, but it does hold a yearly competition for town members for log tossing. The concept is quite simple, identical logs are cut and provided for their use, and the person that throws one the furthest is the winner of the competition. Usually the prize for doing so is something as simple as a night of free drinking, though it has at times included a bronze trophy. Unfortunately due to the strength of the townspeople, the trophies are usually destroyed within a few weeks due to rough handling, and because of this the trophies only return once a decade.
