New Oceania

New Oceania is the largest continent on Rigil Kentaurus Prime. Notably it is the location of Nadezhda City, the first interstellar colony and capital of the Trinary Federation as well as the Kent Prime Republic.

Geography

New Oceania is located slightly south of the equator. It is a long and narrow continent, following a boundary between tectonic plates. It is vulcanic in origin and features a chain of mountains down its center. Chains of islands stretch out from both ends of the continent.
The climate of New Oceania is tropical. On the eastern side of the continent it is humid, while the west is arid due to the rain shadow of the mountains.
