Adrae

Geography

Adrae is the larger of the two continents on Progonos, an unevenly shaped landmass, embraced by five great seas. Due to its immense size, the land's true scales and limits are unknown to the people who live upon it, as it has not been fully explored yet, despite the rapid spread of civilization. However, the natural frontiers that the blue mountains and the long, winding rivers stand as helped cartographers enough to determine that there are at least five major regions that build up their homeland.

Fauna & Flora

Most members of the plant life can be found all over the continent, ones that are native to only one particular region are less and rare. The most determining characteristic of the flora compared to those of Phoris or the Islands is how amazingly resistant they are against damage. Whether it is a work of creatures, human hands or the weather, any harmed part regenerates quickly and twice as strong. There is one troublesome side-effect to this durability, however. Interestingly, herbalists must work for hours, and use various refining techniques to make the raw materials suitable to be used as proper medicine, poison, or any other brew.

The creatures that live on Adrae largely remain to be what would normally populate the wilderness of any world. What makes the animal kingdom interesting how it is mixed together with a high number of remnants from the Mythic Age, particularly the Beast Kings. Both civilized scholars and primitive wisemen speculate that many of parts of the uncharted wilderness could still be their domain.

Natural Resources

Adrea is by far more ample in materials than its smaller counterpart, There is not a region where one could not find multiple types of raw materials to exploit, although some may require more effort to do so for reasons of safety or simply because of the hard and dangerous competition. The largest, most influential settlements in those regions do everything in their power to have full control over the resources nearby. When it comes to trading with the neighbouring lands, raw materials are just as sought after as the crafted wares.
