Geography

Perhaps due to how young this world is, the environmental and geographical features show little to no diversity, if not only in measure and composition with the separate regions. The predominantly mountainous landmasses have about 80-90% of them covered by a seemingly endless, untamed wilderness. Even the largest piece of land that was carved out by human expansion is still very small in comparison, it is as if nature would be resisting to be populated, taming it in any manner is just as hard of work as it was at the beginning of time.

The climate feels pleasant and calm (too calm, some might say), much like it usually is during late spring or early fall, but the weather is a lot more whimsical. Sudden changes are not tied to any particular period of a Sunphase, warmth, cold, heavy rainfalls or storms may arrive at any time or place, and remain as long as they have strength in them. Luckily, there are signs of such shifts that precede their arrival, so the people are not completely defenceless against them.

Fauna & Flora

Surrounded by the ecosystem of Progonos even its denizens can not help but feel somehow out of time, as both the plant and animal kingdom appear to be of a long-passed era. The lush vegetation tends to grow multiple times their normal size and density, some parts of wilderness stand as miles of impenetrable barriers.

The creatures out there are just as primal. Predators are far more ferocious, the preys are highly cautious and fleet-footed, hunting either of them is never an easy task even for veteran outdoorsmen. Then there, atop the overall food-chain are monstrous beings known only as Beast Kings that people know from legend, and despite all evidence, they still pray that they are only legends...

Natural Resources

The world is rich in raw materials that can be harvested. The majority of them are foraging and foodstuff, livestock, herbs, slaves, game, fish, wood, water, stone, peat, mud, clay. Exotic resources and minerals remain to be much lesser not because of their scarcity but because in many cases the people still lack the proper knowledge or technological level to exploit them, these include crops, pitch, coal, sea creatures, salt, gold, silver, bronze, sulfur, iron ore, and spices.
