Riverhome
Geography
The newly discovered and half-populated region lies in the western corner of Adrae, and it connects to all the surrounding lands in some measure. The many-many branches of the great Blue Web river spread all over the land as it goes on its way. Some of these branches also reach the sea, others connect to rivers of the surrounding regions, or end in smaller lakes. One may sail from one corner of Riverhome to another or even to the neighbouring lands in a relatively short time.
Despite all the usefulness of the great river, at the moment it is still a threat to the settlers as well. One of the most important labours of the future will be to somehow regulate the riverbanks because it could only take about two days of heavy rain, or the tide to rise from the Restless Sea for about three-quarters of the land to be flooded. In such times, travel is possible ONLY by boat, but all unprotected houses and fields are destroyed and the wildlife will also be decimated.
Fauna & Flora
As settlers have only started to move in recently, the majority of Riverhome is still very untamed. Most of it is covered by tall shrubs with only small dots of woods scattered about but the closer one gets to the rivers, newer and newer types of vegetation mixes into them such as herbs, flowers, grasses, water lilies, sedge, reed, seagrasses, moss, and fungi.
Much like with plant life, animals are more present near the wetlands, many types of fishes, reptiles, amphibians, rodents, aquatic birds, and small game can be found here. No Beast king sightings have been reported yet, at least on that one-quarter of a land. The more moderate fields are shared by peaceful herbivores and the livestock that the settlers brought in.
Natural Resources
Since Riverhome is still not fully explored, it would be too early to give a full account of its treasures, but clear water, fish, peat, herbs, mushrooms, and small game are among its primary resources. So far nobody believes that any significant amount of raw materials could ever be found here that would make the establishment of an industry worth it.
