The Bay of Towers
Geography
The Bay of Towers is a crescent-shaped coastline that lies beyond the mountains, stretching from the south-east to the north-east. Its upper half neighbours the Archean Basin, while the lower is attached to the South. From where the slopes end, the terrain remains to be evenly flat as it gracefully slides below the crystalline waves of the sea.
The bay area itself deserves more part in the description. The "Towers" refers to the many reefs that emerge from the sea around the bay. Some rises but a few inches above, while others may reach above the deck of a trading galley, but they pose an equal danger to the carelessly guided boats.
Fauna & Flora
Even though it is cut away from the rest of the continents, and its upper parts connect with the Archean Basin, it still bears more similarities to the South. While the bordering slopes and the majority of the land is covered in grasses and fern-forests, as it gets closer to the shoreline, the more it turns into a barren land of gold and white sands.
The wildlife of the Bay is poor on dry land, most of the animals have migrated from the neighbouring regions. Along the coastline, one may notice the widest variety of aquatic and amphibian life. Beast King sightings are also tied to the sea. There are countless tales of sailors encountering various horrible monsters at sea, like giant squids, giant lobsters, sea serpents, white whales the size of a mountain, fish people, and even more unlikely creatures.
Natural Resources
In the Bay of Towers, prospectors must only turn left or right to find ample deploys of raw materials to exploit. The mountains offer iron ore, gems and silver while the treasures of the sea would be too long to list. The rest of the civilized world got introduced to seafood delicacies, salt, pearls, corrals, and exotic aquatic flowers through trading with the local city-states.
