General Jayson Esegar
INTRODUCTION
Commander Jayson Esegar was the fundamental Traelecii general- power hungry with a never ending pursuit to conquer. His rise to power was quick, but short lived. He made a great deal of fuss over the Farburgh debate, and ultimately instigate The Fondalian Civil War when he ordered his primary captain, Houston, to take Riship from rebels. Many historians paint Jay in a bad light, but the young general was actually quite good. His misguided pursuits following the evil John Dolion led to his downfall and death in 4781 at the hands of his rival Jax Arden.
MILITARY HISTORY
Jayson became a footsoldier for the Centrian Citadel Guard in 4722, when he was just 29 years old. He saw little action until his third year, when he traveled among the regiment attached to Catelyn Meyer's diplomatic mission to The Northern Isles. Jayson was promoted to Lieutenant of Centria in 4723, following the election of one Artur Zatic to Surprim for Lord Dolion at Adorea. Zatic had filled the position prior to Esegar. In the next cycle, Jayson was elected Captain by the people due to his unprecedented popularity among the port officials and merchants, and he quickly set to work improving security. He met a young captain of Chromar during a council meeting, when both were in charge of their respective Lord's security. The Captain was Jaxson Arden, the future general and subsquent Lord of Trouffen Province. The two were immediately rivals, to the point of near friendship. In 4751, Jayson was selected to replace the previous general of Adorea, and jumped at the opportunity handed to him. He remained a general for the final 30 years of his life.
THE RISHIP CAMPAIGN
While most historians refer to Jax Arden's bold plan to push back Roderick Houston's forces as 'The Riship Campaign', Jayson Esegar actually coined the term in refrence to the initial invasion.
