Once, there was only Homo sapiens.

Today, we have taken the wheel—become the masters of our own biology, the steam engines ushering forth a new revolution to ply the seas of change. Today, we have liberated man from himself!” …
Lord Wright spoke for those who mastered the genome, but in truth he was a prophet for all that was to come: the genetically enhanced Adepts; the cyberneticly integrated Augments; and the mysterious Psychics able to alter the very laws of time and physics. Yet even these wonders lie in the shadow of an even greater god, for the Singularity has come with androids that could be our benevolent saviors or our genocidal doom. Or neither. Or both.
And what of those considered to be the mistakes of technology or genetics or the mind—those we label with the epithets of Mutants, Zombies, and Vampires with all of the disdain and fear our imaginations enable? Are they still human somewhere behind our failure?
Did we think that our last days would come at the hands of only one kind of apocalypse? It is time to choose which one you will help or hinder. You must ask yourself: What does it mean to be human now, in this new age? Or are those of us "Original Humans" that remain unaltered the last of our species? What happens to human rights when there are no longer humans?
