The Unified Territories of Laendil

The Unified Territories of Laendil cover the wildlands of southern Aumyr, ranging from the Nayalis Forest to the sweeping plains and foothills of Mt. Atros. Buffered by the great Flameback Mountains to the south the deserts of Thanaros constantly threaten the fertile lands of Laendil and are solely held in check by the Druidic Circle of Deserts.
The Laendil High Court is a largely powerless Monarchy that receives rulings for the kingdom from theGrand Council of Thorlenth. Due to the Council's joint role as a governmental body and druidic oversight committee, the goals of individual Druidic Circles are often confused with official stances, rulings, and laws established by the Laendil High Court.

Public Agenda

The Unified Territories of Laendil continues to prioritize conservation efforts throughout the region and places a large emphasis on providing magical answers to the physical needs of its people. Druidic values are considered tantamount to Laendil society and young children showing magical talent are quickly shifted to mentorship by an appropriate druidic circle.

History

The Unified Territories of Laendil was originally established as a land trust and warden organization solely focused on the preservation of the Nayalis forest. As major land expansion was prioritized by surrounding kingdoms in response to Skirantian aggression, the royal family of Laendil officially parlayed their personal wealth into a governmental association. The border towns and fishing communities along the Sea of Night immediately were folded into the territories of Laendil in exchange for their contribution to the Green Guard, the national guard association dedicated to preventing the widescale pillaging of natural resources throughout the region.
Since their inclusion in the Aumyr Confederacy the Unified Territories of Laendil have underwent a dramatic political and economic reform. In 306, 3E the government underwent a transition from a monarchy to a true Republic and established the Grand Council of Thorlenth as the sole ruling body for the region. Over time the Grand Council has voted to relax some of the stringent restrictions on resource allocation and opened parts of the Nayalis forest in trade agreements. Although the Laendil has continued to adapt with a changing world the kingdom has not made a true play for the Crown of the Confederacy.
