Port Zen

Port Zen, or colloquially just known as Zen, is a megacity on the eastern coast of the north american continent. It is the largest city of the new age, and is home to over 1.7 billion citizens. Founded in 2034 by the name Sanctuary, it declared independence from the former United States in 2068, marking the beginning of the end for the nation. The city has since had a long history of corporate rule, now dominated in large part by the Executive Committee on the big stage.

Demographics

Barring few, all cultures, ethnicities, languages, and peoples found around the new world are represented in Zen. Bustling bars, clubs, organizations, neighborhoods, and whole city districts grow and flourish from the ones who live there; one walking the city streets will find themselves seeing something and someone new around every street corner.

Government

Zen is loosely controlled by the Executive Committee, a board of 18 megacorporations who make legislative decisions, effective as far as their combined social and military power can reach.
