1.09 - The Aftermath of the Brothel Raid
General Summary
While Coris and Gherd investigate the ship, Captain Sultana escorts Creedence, Cheni, and Tristian back to The Lodge; the group realizes they have just made a powerful enemy. Along the way, Tristian makes small talk. Creedence offers his services to Sultana once this is all over, as he is planning on staying in town and will likely want a job.
After getting to the Lodge in one piece, Sultana asks for an update on the progress of the investigation, including any particular groups or suspects you might be looking at. He also comes clean about the fact that Verone Gherd has, in fact, been one of the three Captains of the Guard the whole time! Gherd’s division is focused on espionage, and until today, he had been undercover. Sultana explains more about how the militia works -- he handles things inside the city, Captain Caydense handles things outside the city, and Gherd works on the underground.
Sultana also suggested that, whenever you go into Lient'roc, you should bring one of the aforesaid captains with you -- there are many dangers, you have enemies, and there’s rumors of cult activity tied to Chelor. Tristian realizes that there are some things Cheni might not have been entirely forthright about when it comes to her own people. Sultana asks you to see him tomorrow about who you should bring with you into the forest. You can find him and Caydense at the guard complex.
Tristian winds down with wine and Sulphier makes a move on him. They have a lovely evening together.
In the morning, Cheni heads to the Temple of Kraa'thom to see what can be done about the sketchy scimitar taken from the tiefling lady. After being told to bring it to one of the Chelu-kaan forgemasters, she takes it to Mili-bohn, who carves the hilt off and wraps the blade.
