Murder Mist
An eerie and unnnatural mist that creates a dense fog. While in the fog you will see no people or animals except for other afflicted. This usually leads to the area being suddenly devoid of life. In the mist a person will always appear and get killed by briar thorn entanglement (conjuration magic). Whoever this poor soul was, as soon as the fog dissipates their body will be gone and no one will remember them. The only thing that will remain is a small, nigh invisible hole to prove it actually happened. Only those afflicted see experiences this, while the rest simply don't notice.

Saga took a sample of the briar thorns.According to Salmek Etrush, a note was left on the information boards 9 months back warning about a "Mist Devil":
The road between Foamridg and Harbeld is cursed. People go missing. beware if you go eastwards.The note was removed because there was no followup and no one else noticed a thing. It seems the mist either moves around or is centered on Harbeld.
We found traces of the murder mist (another briarthorn pinprick) a little offroad in a tree 2 hours north of Harbeld. From the looks of it, this was from 2 weeks before.
The Briarthorn Vines
The thorns ooze a viscous clear liquid: Purple Worm Venom. A highly lethal venom produced by purple worms and not created naturally by any plant. They are clearly magical in nature.Unaffected (for now)
