Session 32

General Summary

Recap

Not much happened last time. We still haven't identified our loot (no one attubed the armor or belt), but we recovered from the fight. Alexander has once again vanished. We handed over the dwarf cultist to the guard and got them to jail isolate the fungi-infected townsfolk who are doing nothing but stare into nothing at the moment. Saga inspected the fungi afflicted and noticed balls of fungus frowing in nostrils and mouth and also deeper in them centralized aroung the head area (center is potentially the brain). The people of Harbeld are still recovering as well, lots of merchants are leaving and the westside is being searched for remains and what little can be salvaged. Since the mayor is MIA and the guard captain is dead some of the town elders are taking lead. Archibald is taking charge of salvaging the west side, others are encouraging the guards. Archibald has also sent a pigeon to nearby cities requesting support and sent the fungi-afflicted to quarantine on our request. The west side is badly damaged. The troll corpse (hill giant size) is still there and covered in briar thorns. By miracle the Camp is unscathed aside from a damaged porch. Muireall learned from a female elder that 3 years ago a pale elf druid visited town that came to check on nearby groves (presumably Dorald's) and was told the priest will arrive in 3 weeks (according to Arti it is 3 days not weeks). The elder was also looking for something but didn't tell muireall what. We tried to find traces of the cultists outside town, but the trail left by the troll ran cold. We checked the burnt cultist burrow to see if the cuktist came back to it. We found traces of someone going in but never going out again and Arti found a faintly magical dreamweaver but also here we hit a dead end. Muireall got spooked by a druid while standing guard but the druid hid/fled so we couldn't find them. We tried but animal hijinks ensued.
Currently we are still there in the woods. Saga is a deer, Muireall is following bird tracks ans Arti just came down from a tree.

Summary

We didn't find any druid cultist around Harbeld. Instead we met Americ, a tiefling druid who is regarded as an ill omen in Harbeld. He offered assistance with finding something to help against the infection in Harbeld. Saga and Arti also learned he has knowledge on the Flower which according to the parasite in Saga is a curse in and of itself.
Harbeld is slowly cleaning up and recovering. Archibald has taken temporary seat as mayor and sent for reinforcements from Foamridge.
We decided to leave for Foamridge along with a caravan of merchants (Alexander's friend is on there). Muireall contacted the elder lady again, Arti interrogated the dwarf cultist and learned little.

muir finds alex talking with merchants at east gate
very brutally says we gonna leave blames arti that she has to keep it short
he is helping mary on a cart
muir decides by herself that we leave in a couple of hours

he is taking charge as mayor for now
we should run into a garrison/comtigent being sent from foamridge ro harbeld for aid

saga

arti ask dwarf cultist about the plan: he claims he did not know about the attack on town only the cairn
kinda guilt trips him a bit about the lives that were lost knowingly or unknowingly
saga grabs our stuff at the Camp and pays the tab

muir looks for that specific elder lady again and reports to her

east side

alex and arti and saga meet up we meet Mary
muir goes to pray at the cathedral
she gives a small prayer gets a soft breeze on her shoulders
alex sits in the cart in front of us
we slowly start to leave
we heading to foamridge
trees make way for rolling hills
muir sees a bird hawk/buzzard eat a bunny keeping an eye of everyone in the cart
bird feels too confident
alex comes back weather not looking great so early camp
communal central tent with table set up for dinner
thick broth with chunks of meat, root vegeabtles and so on
meat is very stringy tho
merchants talking about foamridge and a collection of bubbles?
wind picks up outside and downpour starts
artis ask alex about day: he went to check on friend and to get a ride
arti tells him about our day
saga tells about what Americ said and the flower thing
muir doesn't know
