Verimen

Long ago, before humans even existed, there was an alliance of carnivorous beastkin who hunted and savored the tender meat of the different Verimen. This alliance was led by a tyrannical couple of Oszoh named Kasif and Grola. They were friends with the Nato'Vulf and the Tig'we, who at the time were the apex of the Wulvers and Felinx. They even warred with many Invians tribes for hunting territory. For a time verimen were forced to find the barest means to hide and survive. The burrows all over the Eastern Grasslands are an excellent example of this desperation.

But one day, a proud young ailuryken named Rewi, who just so happened to be friends with some wulvers and felinx who only hunted non-sentient critters, stood up against the extremely thorough hunters. They faced much resistance from every side, the Verimen afraid it was impossible to befriend the predators, and the wulvers/felinx declaring it was ridiculous to befriend food. But their message was powerful and spread quickly. The reputations of the apex tribes began to waver, making their leaders even more sour, resulting in the command of execution for the ailuryken and his two friends. The felinx and wulver tribes rallied to their defense, and even the verimen showed up, displaying a new level of confidence they didn't have before. 

Kasif and Grola were overthrown, and the Nato'Vulf and Tig'we leaders were abdicated and made to stand trial for their crimes. Since this brave young ailuryken's historic movement, it has been commonly accepted that carnivores get their meat from non-sentients. The verimen tribes were once more free to explore their world...
