Feromonas
Feromonas is a city in Feromone Forest where the Feromone Fairies lived in peace, for hundreds of years. It was once a beautiful city, and the pride for the fairies, until the war against the fairy farmers.
The war, later known as The Dust War, only lasted a few weeks, but left Feromonas and its population devastated. Before the war, there were more than twenty thousand fairies living in Feromonas, and in the end there were less than two thousand. It wasn't until the fairy farmers discovered that they needed the Feromone Fairy Dust from healthy fairies for the cure for Fairy Fungi, that they decided to make a peace treaty, and thus The Farland Treaty was made. It stated that the fairy farmers would stop attacking the city, in return for the fairies volunteering some of their dust.
To save the city, the fairies agreed to these terms, and although the humans honor their part of the agreement by not attacking the city, they still attack fairies in the Feromone Forest to forcibly take their dust.
The elder also appoints advisors for various matters. There's no fixed amount of advisors, the elder is free to choose whomever they want and for whatever they want.
Feromonas is built across multiple treetops and is quite hard to see from the ground, especially after the war against the fairy farmers, where the need for camouflage and defenses increased. The parts of the city that was destroyed during the war, was abandoned and left for the humans to see, to give the impression that no fairies are around.
Despite the danger from humans, Feromonas defenses are not meant to be lethal but are designed to dissuade would-be attackers.
New habitats are built deep within the treetops to better camouflage them from the outside and are built from materials that match the treetop.
As for their defenses, they have nets filled with balls of itching powder, large stacks of chestnuts, and even jars of skunk spray.
The invasion by the Fairy Farmers
Not long after the fairies met the Humans, they started getting abducted one by one. When the Humans discovered that Feromone Fairy Dust was a good source of fuel for refining mithrillium, the humans made an outright assault on their city. The war, later known as The Dust War, only lasted a few weeks, but left Feromonas and its population devastated. Government
Feromonas is ruled by the city elder, who is chosen by the people, whenever the previous one steps down, whether it's from dying or by choice. The elder also appoints advisors for various matters. There's no fixed amount of advisors, the elder is free to choose whomever they want and for whatever they want.
Infrastructure
Since fairies have wings, things like roads, bridges, and stairs are quite uncommon. Some stairs exist, to accommodate fairies with damage to their wings, and bridges are used, mostly for logistical reasons, when heavy things need to be transported between habitats.Feromonas is built across multiple treetops and is quite hard to see from the ground, especially after the war against the fairy farmers, where the need for camouflage and defenses increased. Defenses
After the humans showed up and almost wiped out the city, the fairies started to think more defensively. Prior to that, they had little need for protection, except against weather and the occasional predator.Despite the danger from humans, Feromonas defenses are not meant to be lethal but are designed to dissuade would-be attackers.

Industry & Trade
After the war with the fairy farmers, the fairies tried to negotiate a way to sell their Feromone Fairy Dust to them, but since they get a steady supply because of The Farland Treaty, they were not interested. Additionally, they still hunt fairies outside Feromonas, and forcibly take their dust, as technically, this does not violate The Farland Treaty.
