Ukja ab'Sthekkas (ukʤɑ ɑbsθɛkʰɑs)

Also known as "Sthekkas' Folly," for it serves as a marker of the general's hubris.

Purpose / Function

The keep was built by a legion from the Fifth Order of the Grand Army of the Ptarshakkian Empire under General Sthekkas ab'Zennept. It was to serve as the launching point of a Ptarshakkian conquest of the Black Isles and the annexation of the Thōur region. The underlying rational for the mission of General Sthekkas was predicated upon the fact that the the Qh'énns hold all of Qh'énnshaiyn, and the Tzolgarin Kingdom of Ys encompasses all of Ys; thus so should Ptarshakk hold all of Thōurraidt.

History

Ukja ab'Sthekkas—"the tower/keep of Sthekkas"—was built and reduced to ruin in a very short period of time. It began as a vainglorious edifice to the ascendant general, but was destroyed by the trolls of the Black Isles, which began the lengthy periods of conflict between the Black Isles and Ptarshakk.
