The Grand Army of the Ptarshakkian Empire

The military of Ptarshakk is divided into five orders each under one general who serve collectively as a council under the ultimate command of a field marshal who is promoted from their number. The power structure is as follows: field marshal > generals of the five orders > sub-generals > captains > lieutenant captains > lieutenants > sergeants > men-at-arms > soldiers. Parallel to and allied with the Grand Army are the Ptajma elite knights, although they are technically not under the command of the generals, they do obey the field marshal and will take orders from generals if required to by their religious commanders among the bishops of the Cult of Vhàrnàh in Ptansannae.   The command structure of the Grand Army of the Ptarshakkian Empire is divided into five orders each commanded by one high ranking and respected general nominated by other generals and sub-generals in their order. High command of the entire army falls to a field marshal then elected from among that number (requiring the promotion of another general to General of the Order rank). All soldiers of every rank below field marshal are properly titled rank-name-of the #th-Order, e.g. Lieutenant Captain Ptannin Khaezon of the Third Order; General Mu Pteb of the Third Order; General Haeddu of the Fourth Order; Lieutenant Umiz am Mu of the First Order. The Five Orders are called Zakhmed [zækhmɛd] in Ptarshakkian. First Order Khumed; Second Order Khomed; Third Order Khimed; Fourth Order: Khemed; Fifth Order Khamed (/[kʰ~mɛd/).
