Tzatli (ʦɑtɬi)

Mother Tzatli - the Linguist:
Born and raised in the city of Tlatl, Tzatli was of moderate wealth and as such had access to education. She was precocious and very knowledgeable. Her family provided tutors. By age 8 she was multilingual and conducted live translation for her mother's business trade when they summered in the port city, Garin-y̆-Gatlay.
Later on she was sent to the language academy at the Grand Tzutlycan Library of Tlatl and became an academic and one of the leading linguists in the known world.
Her husband, Uzu, is a Tzutlycannite priest and historian.
However, both Uzu and Tzatli were killed in the first of the Great Thtetū which took place in Port Mỳdr, Qh'énnshaiyn.
Approximately 50 years later, the shade of Tzatli was restored to her decrepit desiccated corpse and she rose from the dead. Schqhènnite necromancers used their powers to raise her under the guiding hand of Lord Baron Paln Lihgn in an attempt to thwart subsequent thtetūs and the power base of the hated rival baron of Dermrhein.

Nicknames & Petnames

The couple often refer to each other by sweetlings. "Dearheart" is Uzu's preferred term for Tzatli.
Tzatli prefers a curt "husband."

Relationship Reasoning

Whilst Uzu is among the highest ranked scholars on the continent, both recognise his wife's skills are arguably far superior to his own. Tzatli merely cares nothing about the spiritual side of knowledge-seeking, and abhors the politics among the librarian-priests.
