Uzu (uzu)

Uzu - First Librarian of the Grand Tzutlycan Library of Tlatl: One of eight First Librarians who govern the affairs of all Yssian Tzutlycannites, he rose from a novitiate, scribe, priest, fifth through to first librarian for his devotion to the cause of spreading learning and historical scholarship. His magnum opus was to be an elaborate exegesis of Qh'énnish sources depicting the events of the fall of Cāllen'ter and the dissolution of the Callessai empire. He was instrumental in proving that the scholar dāQa was one in the same as yeath-Qh'en the anarch of the Second Qh'énnish Rebellion, and thus also the son of the erstwhile Baron Qa Qhan who had lead the previous failed rebellion.
He and his beloved wife, Tzatli, a linguist specializing in the northern languages, travelled to Qh'énnshaiyn to conduct further research. Unfortunately, they were both killed in what was said to have been a riot at the hands of Mỳdrian separatists.

Nicknames & Petnames

The couple often refer to each other by sweetlings. "Dearheart" is Uzu's preferred term for Tzatli.
Tzatli prefers a curt "husband."

Whilst Uzu is among the highest ranked scholars on the continent, both recognise his wife's skills are arguably far superior to his own. Tzatli merely cares nothing about the spiritual side of knowledge-seeking, and abhors the politics among the librarian-priests.
