Elken bear

An elken bear is a rare ancient creature found in these mystical woods. It is known as being the guardian of the forest, and slayers of all those who travel through its ancient roads without clearance of the green gods, one of the lesser gods that serve the holy seven, according to legend. A man who often travels the forest will likely only come into contact with one once or twice, due to their rarity. Legend has it that when the Mormonts brought over the bears from bear island to Wun Wun, some of the bears roamed out far into the forest. Some of which evolved into these beautiful woodland creatures. When the massacre of the bears happened, the common bearian bear went extinct in the forest, but the mystical elken bear survived due to protection from the gods.

Basic Information

Anatomy

An elken bear is a very tall, often green or brown, bear, often standing far above 20 foot. The latest ever seen, supposedly, was over 100 feet tall, though this is often dismissed as absurd. Their antlers atop their head are the longest solid bone structure known to a land mammal. Their eyes often glow a green or white hue. Then can easily be identified by their huge size, antlers and eyes. Their eyes are said to be very beautiful, this lead to a group of men, in the year 1209, to attempt to hunt an elken bear for its eyes. Only one of the seven returned, missing 2 toes and his left arm, and muttering words of green gods, before dying days later.

All elken bear live in the lost forest, or named Zagubiony las by the Stonemen of Wun Wun . They do not live anywhere else.
