Midriver

The Midriver is the flowing body of water that marks the northern and western borders of the Duchy of Sealance. It is a rather placid but deep river, mostly large enough for two barges to pass at the same time without issues. You don’t need to be expert in sailing to manage to get towards the sea, and even going against the current is not that hard. Its waters are cold at the beginning but warm up south of Greenfarm and become even warmer after the midbridge.

Geography

The Midriver's headwaters are in Tor Danesh lake; from there, the cold water initially flows southward, eventually splitting in two, with the main stream going towards the Forest of Lorai and a secondary stream, still navigable if not as large as the main river, going in the opposite direction, towards Enverdoon. Near Enverdoon, the waters of the Raivelor flow into the Midriver, and both streams reach as one bigger river the Anklife sea.
The part of the river that flows eastward before mixing with the Raivelor is sometimes referred to as Midland Stripe.
