Wolf, Fred
Fred Wolf works as a mechanic on Pandora Station. He is known as "Uncle Fred" to Mikal, Hex and was one of the most pivotal of those who served as a surrogate parent for Hex in the years after the death of his mother, Mikal, Suze, in childbirth. It is Fred who taught Hex much of what he knows about machines and fabrication.
Fred's involvement in The Struggle has always been tentative. Though he fully supports the involvement and goals of his husband, Wolf, Geri, he often worries about the sacrifices that Geri is willing to make in the name of the cause. He sees the practicality of involving Mikal, Karl in The Struggle, but deeply regrets it. He feels that Karl and Hex have suffered enough and deserve what peace they can find on Pandora.
