Mikal, Suze
Suze Mikal was the wife of Mikal, Karl and the mother of Mikal, Hex, whom she died giving birth to.
Suze was a born Belter and spent much of her adult life working as a loader, piloting an industrial exo-frame on the docs of Pandora Station. It was in this role that she lost her right arm while trying to prevent the deaths of fellow dock workers.
Following the loss of her arm, Suze and Karl were surprised to learn that Exfil Enterprises and station management would be providing her with a state-of-the-art prosthetic. When Suze later began to suffer from a neurodegenerative syndrome, she learned that it was caused by the prosthetic itself. It turned out that the design was experimental, and she was an unknowing guinea pig in its field-testing.
The tragedy was compounded by the fact that the treatment for the disease would have cost the life of her unborn child. Suze opted instead to forego treatment and later died immediately following the birth of Hex.
