Basil recorded a conversation between Silvester and Guinevera Dargent, where he offered her an escort on a visit to the Venom Houri, but was turned down.Later that evening, when Lindie Asklepa attacked the Guinevera's Bedchamber disguised as Ashlin, Silvester led the defence. He used his bodyguard ability to take a blow aimed at Richard Dargent, saving the Vizier's life.

An Ears of the City spell, basking in the effects of Hugo Dargent's newly obtained courtly reknown, revealed that, although most of the Dargent servants were also more favourable towards Hugo than previously, Silvester, remained decidedly unfriendly, frowning in disapproval whenever Hugo was favourably mentioned around the Dargent Estate.
