Until recently, Absalom Laureat was the Vizier of the Noble Laureat Family under the constellation of the Tailor. He and his then-wife, Damasque Laureat, were bannished from the Noble Court, and stripped of their Nobility, in a Whisper Vote on Goldday, Tinkermoon, 1313.

Katib Hugo Dargent, whose secret romance with Katib Castor Stargazer had caused something of a court scandal, broke off his engagement to Absalom's daughter, Satine. The next day (Takesday), House Dargent appeased the Laureat Family by offering their older son, Subvizier Victor in Hugo's place. Damasque and Absalom were banished from the Noble Court in a Whisper Vote on the charges of illegal magic. It is likely that without Lindie Asklepa's interferance (framing Absalom with a "smoking gun" in full view of Katib Cody Bakerstreet), the Vizier might have received a "forgive" verdict.Social

Damasque Laureat: Absalom and Damasque got divorced after the Whisper Vote in which they were both banished from the Noble Court. Absalom had voted to banish Damasque from the court, which was (understandably) considered a betrayal.
Satine Dargent-Laureat: Absalom seems to have gotten on relatively well with his daughter, Satine. When her engagement to the "Spare" Dargent son (Hugo) was abruptly ended, he was content to exchange the engagement for the Dargent's more-prestigious Subvizier (Victor).
Dulcinea Laureat: When Absalom asked his mother, Dulcinea, to accompany him in bannishment, she refused.
