Bringer

Qualifications

There are no qualifications required to be a Bringer, a person must simply choose to be part of the Bearers pathway.

Appointment

The appointment of a person as a Bringer takes place during the Path Choosing ceremony, when they choose the Bearers pathway. At this point, in front of everyone in their settlement, they will officially become a Bringer.

Duties

The duties of a Bringer include helping to care for any Bearer who is in the final month of gestation or the first month after birth. Their duties also include shadowing Raiser and Bearer and sometimes Gifter to understand how the roles work together within the Bearers pathway.

Responsibilities

They are responsible for the care of late term Bearers, and helping with the birthing process. They are also responsible for learning as much as they can about the other roles within this pathway.    In addition to this, there are also medical and health training which they will receive from others in this pathway, and they are responsible for learning to care for the medical health of their community.    If someone chooses to remain a Bringer, rather than choosing one of the other elements of the pathway, they usually perfect this medical knowledge, working hard to be come the expert in caring for people and showing them how to lead a healthy life.
