Dritha Empire

Beliefs and Origins

The Dritha Empire of Venka was established by the Dragonborn who wished not to follow the teaching of Bahamut or Tiamat. The Dragonborn are among the oldest race of people on Oxdara, coming to being a few thousand years after the 5 lords split Rularia. How the Dragonborn came into being is unknown, and each Empire has its own belief of how they came into the world, the differences in beliefs being the original catalysts for the Empires creation. Those of the Dritha empire believe that the Dragonborn evolved from the Tal, like the people of Rularia, and the Tardoren. They believe that the absences of Dragons that followed the exodus of Kaltorius and the thousands of other dragons, that the life force of Oxdara filled in that absences, by evolving some Tal into Dragonborn. A belief that isn't exactly far from being possible, the people of Erendoc evolved from animals at the same time and, believed to be, the same reason. The life force of Oxdara balances itself. Overtime, this Empire not following the tenants of Bahamut or Tiamat, they found belief in other Gods, new Gods that found the plane of Oxdara over the thousands of years. The Empire formed a pantheon of Gods they followed, unlike the religious structure of Rularia or Erendoc, where religion is a more free experience, with different temples all over the continent, the Empires of Venka have a structured pantheon, and worship beyond that Pantheon is, while no longer prohibited, it's frowned upon. The Pantheon of Dritha is called the Catona Pantheon.
