Ardenscourt

A member-state of the Ancellus Federation, the city of Ardenscourt was a city of primarily Wood Elves at the end of the founding war. Cut off from the Starlight and abandoned by their High Elf overlords, the Sylnoa family chose to surrender and spare their people. Now, the vast forests of the Ardenswood are disappearing more each year as the Federation expands their industry into the region.

Defences

Ardenscourt surrendered before it could be destroyed, and as a result still maintains some of the magical defenses of the elves. Rumors suggest that the most powerful of these is a mythal, an enchantment that covers the entire city and is as old as the most ancient foundations.

Infrastructure

Ardenscourt is an industrial titan, home to large lumberyards and refineries. Raw lumber is pulled from the Arden forest, and ore and materials are brought in from the mines surrounding Delphon for refinement.
The region is also home to Kaawa Shipwrights, the leading manufacturer of airships in the country. Their success is due to their near monopoly on the rare soarwood trees necessary for the creation of airships.

Architecture

The innermost city is a magnificent elven city still suspended above the ground in massive trees. Surrounding this is a ring of dwarvish apartments, warehouses, and workshops. The outermost sprawl in mostly human in design, stretching close to the edge of the Arden.

Natural Resources

Wood of all kinds can be found in the Arden, including the exceedingly rare Soarwood trees needed for airship construction.
