Riverdeep
Riverdeep is a small farming village located in the northern part of Leryia, near the eastern shore of @Belirin. The village is primarily inhabited by humans, although there are a few halflings living among them.
The people of Riverdeep rely heavily on agriculture for their livelihood. The fertile lands surrounding the village are ideal for farming, and the villagers grow a variety of crops, including wheat, barley, and vegetables. In addition to farming, the villagers also raise livestock, such as cattle and sheep.
Government
Riverdeep, being a small farming village, doesn't have a complex government structure. Instead, it is governed by a village council composed of elected representatives. This council is responsible for making decisions about the village's affairs, such as allocating resources, resolving disputes, and maintaining order.
The council's decisions are typically made through consensus, with everyone having an equal say in the matter. However, in times of crisis, the council may need to make decisions more quickly, and in such cases, the council leader may have more authority.
History
Riverdeep was founded a few years after the conquest of Lasau by the Velorians. As the city grew and its population expanded, there was a need for a reliable source of food to sustain the growing population. The fertile lands around Belirin Lake were ideal for agriculture, and so the Velorians established Riverdeep as a farming community.
At first, Riverdeep was a small settlement consisting of a few farms and a handful of families. However, as the years passed, the village grew and prospered. The fertile land and abundant water resources allowed the villagers to produce a surplus of food, which was then transported to Lasau and other nearby cities.
