The Council of Humility

The Council of Humility was not its original intention. At first, titled the Council of Humanity, it was used to monitor the mortals and their overall patterns. It was founded after the Trial of the Akramak in order to prepare the gods for another such occurrence of destruction. This version of the council was very passive only ever subtly veering humanity in the direction they wished. The council was renamed "the Council of Humility" and was put in place after the Search of Power. This time it was to make sure the gods and mortals were able to stay in check and the Gods of Falsehoods stayed secure in their prisons. Now they were not only observing humanity but keeping a close eye on how the gods impacted it as well. After the change, they now choose one champion to keep watch on the mortal world and to be an informant of those who might grow to become a danger to the gods or the imprisoned ones' binds. The members of the council have been relatively consistent. The only changes have been the removal of the True Melody after the Search for Power and the Ichorous General after her affiliation with the Hellfire. After the departure of the True Melody, their spot was filled by the Chuckling Trickster. There is currently an empty seat to be filled but it has been so far undecided who it will be appointed to.
