The Valane Crown was a collection of worlds administered from Mars and by House Valane.

Founding

In 2538, the world of New Corinth voted to name Princess Nova Valane-Tancredo as their "sovreign", essentially making the planet a constitutional monarchy. The vote meant Nova and her heirs will hold the title of Princess over New Corinth and Mars but on New Corinth their powers were largely ceremonial.
This marked the start of the expansion of Valane influence over more worlds than just their imperial fiefdom of Mars.

Expansion

In 2544, as Arbiter of The Antares Federation, Nova Valane sent a task force to break the pirate hold over the world of Tortuga. This joint effort was a success and the world occupied. When the federation disbanded in 2546, the world ended up under sole Martian control. In spite of Mars and New Corinth joining The Terran Republic, Tortuga did not.
In 2605, House Valane began efforts to colonize the world of Danube, keeping it outside the Terran Republic.
