Tikerin
Tikerin, occasionally shorthanded as Tiker, or derogatively called 'rabbits', 'long rabbits', or 'fox-rabbits', are a species of cunicular bipedal mammals. They're often an advanced and distinctive race found across the omniverse, originating from the planet Edonia with a 'lost' division sect that can be located in a separate universe on Nivandre, and believing that to be their home as well. However Edonia is the more advanced technical group, and for the most part, the most well spread and known across the omniverse.
The tikerins tend to get along with a wide variety of other races, but have also become an immense cultural melting pot in positive and negative ways. Aspects ranging from Zeanites to the Tsuzad have influenced parts of their culture, and they have had some occurrences of influencing cultures back where their immigrations can grow quickly over decades if they settle onto new planets. As such they can be seen in a variety of behaviors and groups, taking up occupation in early and late Vanguard, having outside governmental and religious roles, magical prowess, military arrangements, and a fluctuating technology understanding.

Basic Information
Anatomy
They are described roughly as anthropomorphic bipedal rabbit-like creatures, with tails more akin to foxes and wolves they sometimes derive nicknames from. They're tall creatures, averaging in up to the 2-meter mark, and may grow lengthy hair in addition to their base body of fur. While strong veggie lovers, they are distinctly evolved to be omnivores, with eyes facing the front, and a diverse set of teeth. They have longer ears that droop more on the females. Males tend to have shorter ears that stay upright, and a stouter frame with stronger arms. Akin to ryclins, both genders may often be seen with wide hips from strong legs & glutes, with muscular support that can lend itself to hopping, but they behave less openly in its use as a slightly regressing evolutionary trait that can even be found vulnerable or lost in poor health. Tikerins are further complex in their coat patterns, and may be found with common spots along their torso, or full splashes and splotches across a primary color of coat. Browns, whites, and earthly reds are a very common color of fur.
Genetics and Reproduction
It has been noted before that in a natural state tikerins, 'breed like rabbits', befitting their trait characteristics. They are creative and energetic procreators in a natural state, and while not quite superfetacious like real rabbits, lunaki, or satyr, they do reproduce in liters of 3-7 young they call bunnies. It takes about nine months akin to human, but otherwise their only natural control or moderation is found in medication - but it can come in strong doses that last a while with an individual. After years of inviting magic to contort their bodies, its often common to see tikerin actually copulating while stretching, but more traditional styles, and mounting is common. A lot of this for better or worse is exhibited in adult gatherings around 'pure' nature focused festivities between other tikerin, though stretching is also seen a lot between more platonic friends, or 'practicing' female pairs that in some part merely enjoy the extension and tension. However a lot of urbanized, busy, or cautious tikerin are more reserved and under medication, where they almost lack desires unless pressured or deeply affectionate to an individual.
Growth Rate & Stages
The young are called 'Bunnies', despite the species often refraining from stereotypes with rabbits. In early phase, the young actually need to hibernate, and have shorter fur and more vulnerabilities. Once this phase ends, they become more energetic, and develop longer tails, and tend to hop around and play a lot more. After a while they begin to calm down, and at late teen or early adulthood they spike their energy more around maturing hormones where some are then put on their first urge medicine. Tikerins live for a long time, with healthy ones potentially carrying on their lives through a century.
Ecology and Habitats
They originate from a lush environment, however are strongly adaptable to even arid circumstances in places like Elcanar. However they've preserved a lot of Edonia's integrity, and while urban regions do exist, they tend to build around a lot of floral scenes, and preserve meadows and forestry close. Some still live strictly in smaller communities. However with a struggle in high populations, they do also tend to build some communities in burrow-towns, where a forest area may secretly house hundreds in a network of tunnels that peak up in hills, or host doors into dried ravines. In some cases, a special few hold the ecosystem of an otherwise husk of a place together with old magic or runic artifacts. In extreme climate cases, tikerin might grow or trim their fur.

Social Structure
Often peaceful and social creatures. They mingle with others well, earning their reputation to quickly chat and befriend many other cultures. Some strong suits have also been applied, like systems of magical learning that opened them up to bodily contortions, and later sharing a deep and varied interest in stretching akin to Zeanites. Its common to find tikerin in large social gatherings, and having been raised in big families. Early traditions with a high female rate of population, also grants a nature that early edonia was once lead by harems, and lives where large houses and stature was favored by the elite, but not as abusive as some species like the Lionkin. In time this became a more 'conservative' idea, but the effects of being used to large households, extensive family meetings somewhat persists and explains their large group nature.
However despite their kindness, they have also been okay with exploitation. Their crafty and resourceful behavior has lead many to still find and utilize weaknesses in other species, and growing up close to a much tinier sentient rabbit-like creature such as a rylcin, has lead many to abuse them for pelts, trade, medial slavery, and occasionally in recipes and rural comfort foods like deep-fried rylcin. In a similar manner, some cultures can easily encourage more hateful practices in tikerin, such as violent extensions of their stretching habit. Riots have counteracted them, and a few groups and settlements may have enforced better cooperation laws, but on the whole the Edonian rylcin population remains largely undermined in favor of tikerin and export markets. Likewise their are cases of sadistic behavior seen within ranks like those indoctrinated against other animal-like races from an Elcanar perspective.
Civilization and Culture
Beauty Ideals
Males are often supposed to look a little more stocky and stronger. Height is less of an issue, but because of the popularity in stretching (sometimes even a style in how they procreate), it is seen as ideal for them to be capable of limber reach to some degree. Longer or flopping ears is a more feminine trait, and taunted on a few males. Hair styles are limited, but often a spiked grooming is preferred. Females tend to be taller in averages, with longer hair and ears. Fuller fur along the tails and good grooming is an older feminine judge of quality, and a toned and flexible stretch has become more modernly alluring. They might put a bow on their tail, or wear cropped shirts in popular fashion.
Courtship Ideals
Unions were once either unremarked by low status individuals, sparked only by lust and then good manners as a couple stayed close. Higher status males with large property and values were able to form harems with consenting females, and more ritualistic marriage systems. Monogamy became a more standard modern thing that occurred when governments were trying to encourage more breeding restraint, and issued out subsidized hormonal control medication. Harems are less popular now, while more careful unions are the main thing. More reckless bonds do still occur for those leaving their hormonal assistance, but true courtship ceremonies are naturally not observed for those people, and religions and institutions have exploited this nature of tikerins to sometimes spawn easy followers in need of a guiding home. For other places, this marks them as welcomed or hated for baby boom effects they almost always have on an economy they settle into.
